After leaving school Tony did a fitters apprenticeship at NZ Railways Hillside workshops in Dunedin, but after five years went back to work on the family farm and did contracting in the summer months with a conventional baler. Tony's dad was more into the stock so Tony looked after the machinery side of the farm. Tony eventually brought a medium square baler and went contracting for 17 years while also traveling to England and did five years straw baling in the UK during the NZ off season. Tony's passion for tractors and machinery then lead to a sales role for a local Otago company before moving to JJ's as a sales rep in 2017.

North Canterbury born and raised, I grew up in Waipara, spending the majority of my time on farms, vineyards and in the outdoors which gave me passion for the agricultural industry.

After completing school I went straight into an apprenticeship with Blackwells Holden completing a light vehicle automotive engineering qualification and a business management qualification, then went on to help set up and run a dealership service workshop in Rangiora. After over 8 years in the automotive industry my passion for tractors and farming machinery has now lead me into getting into a sales role utilising my technical background to satisfy our clients needs.
